After John McCabe’s car accident death in 1938? the company was purchased from McCabe’s widow in 1939? by McCabe foreman Charlie Martinez. The name, dies and designs were sold to Bob Stanton’s Sunset Trails by Martinez’s widow in 1960. Sunset Trails company currently manufactures the high quality McCabe line of buckles using the original designs and dies.
